The Western circuit safaris had a number of things going in their favour. They’re more inaccessible than the Northern circuit, so you’ll experience their untouched beauty without the crowds. Then as well as spotting the big five, you get the chance to see chimpanzees and other primates. Afterwards, sit back and relax on the glorious palm-fringed beaches and azure waters of Lake Tanganyika, the oldest and largest (by volume) freshwater lake in Africa.
