Spice Tour from Stone Town Zanzibar

Our guide will meet you and after introductions you will depart for the tour. In this tour our knowledgeable guide will clarify to you why Zanzibar is called Spice Island. The tour will be in a small plantation whereby you’ll see where spices grow, among them cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, Zanzibar’s cardomoms, cinnamon, curry, menthol, pepper, tamarind, and ginger. Many of the spices are truly beautiful to behold, and rarely does the leaf or berry visually resemble what’s on your spice rack at home. Depending on the season, you may see, smell and sometimes taste between 25-50 different spices, fruits and other plants. Your guide will give detailed descriptions of what each plant is used for, and not all are for food. In this tour you will have an opportunity to visit the spice shop on the farm, where you can buy fresh spices to use in your cooking at home. The spices will make a truly memory of your holiday in Zanzibar

Stone Town Tour Zanzibar

Our guide will meet you at the starting point the Anglican Cathedral

After introduction, our tour will start by visiting the former Slave Market, the Anglican Cathedral, the House of Wonders, the Sultan’s Palace Museum and Old Arab. You’ll explore also the local markets and see seafood and fish piled high, fresh loaves of bread in wicker baskets and stacks of fruit and vegetables, as traders sell their goods from market stalls. The tour will also includes visits to the Freddie Mercury house, Zanzibar Curio Shop, Jaws Corner coffee shop and many important destinations in stone town. Nakupenda Beach Day Tour from Stone Town Zanzibar

Nakupenda that in local language means “i love you” , it’s a very particular island, quite typical of the zone, with white sand , clean water .You will visit prison island first on boat, with the giant tortoises, and learn about culture and history. Later you will reach a sand bank at Nakupenda and whilst you do snorkeling and other beach activities we will prepare an excellent meal (a sea food taste) with fresh fruits.

Nakupenda is located about 20 minutes on boat from stone Town’s coast and it is a big dune of sand which get submerged during the high tide and is a great place to rest, get tan, enjoy the water and relax. Bagamoyo Day Tour from Dar-es-Salaam

After breakfast our guide will pick you from your hotel in the city to Bagamoyo.  Bagamoyo, once the most important trading port on the East African coast, remains a city of history and culture. Along the way, your guide explains how it used to serve as a slave and ivory port – relics of this past remain. On arrival you will be able to see the ruins of Coral Mosque at Kaole and ancient graves from the 13th century. This tour will help you to discover the Old Ferry on the Wami River as your guide tells you about the town’s slave-trade past. In the afternoon you will have traditional lunch as part of the tour. After lunch, you will visit the archaeological site of Kaole. Here you will admire its ruins, including the Coral Mosque and the ruins of the Shirazai trade town, dating between the 13th and 17th centuries. Here you will also see 30 ancient tombs built with coral rag and columns. Afterwards you will continue to the Wami River where you will pause for a photo stop at the Old Ferry.
