Enjoy a relaxing ride from Moshi town to TPC, which is the oldest sugar cane plantation in Tanzania. This is a great way to see the country side and experience some of the finest food in the region, at the Planters restaurant. At 10:00 am you will be transferred from your hotel in Moshi to Gate Fonga your starting point. You will cycle south through the sugar cane fields towards TPC Golf Club where your tour ends. You will have lunch at the Planters restaurant and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before being transferred back to Moshi.
After breakfast your leader guide will pick you up from your hotel around 9:00am for the long ride to the Chemka Hot Springs which is 22km from Moshi town. You will start your adventure via back road in an off beaten track. During the ride you will enjoy the wonderful scenery and authentic Tanzanian life as it unfolds along the road. On arrival at Chemka Hot Springs you will have an opportunity to refresh yourself in an oasis of geothermal warmth that bubbles up from underground after a long adventure. The pond can be very deep, in some places up to 10 meters, but the water is so clear that you can easily see the bottom of the pond. Regardless to its name, water in the hot springs is warm and quite refreshing and this is the one place where swimsuit is a must.
We will provide you with a lunch box and a bottle of water. You can eat your lunch in the shade of the trees or, if you’re a sun bunny, find a hot spot all your own. You’ve plenty of time to spot the wildlife that also enjoy the Chemka Hot Springs and return to Moshi refreshed, revitalized and relaxed after your amazing cycling adventure to the hot spring. There is an optional cultural tour at Rundugai after swimming.
Rau Forest Reserve is one of the tourism attractions in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Enjoy a cycling tour to Rau Forest Reserve for nature experienceas you cycle through this bold wooded region of Kilimanjaro. The forest is famous for its Monkeys and if you’re lucky you will see the beautiful Black and White Collobus Monkeys while enjoying the natural beauty of the reserve and its significance to the adjacent local communities. You can also well take a day walk at Rau Forest, which you will see, so many unforgettable places and views.
Day Tour Cycling at Rau Forest offers a mix activity tour of different things to explore by mountain bike or walking to the Rau monkey forest. The forest is located near Moshi and lets you enjoy the local lifestyle, culture and history of the reserve. You will also be able to visit the giant Mvule tree of about 196 years old, which is the biggest attraction of the reserve.Afterwards, a delicious picnic lunch will be served near the river overlooking the magnificent view of the Kilimanjaro and rice plantation. After lunch you will continue riding the bike through the rice plantations and later return to Moshi town. Our driver-guide will drive you from the city to your hotel.
